BRIEF HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
With the success of the franchised training center, Fil-Canadian Training center for Caregivers-Tuguegarao which has helped various students now successfully working in Canada and other countries, the Philippine School of Healthcare Professions, Inc. (PSHPI) was established in 2007 with the ultimate goal of achieving excellence and quality in teaching to individuals, making educational and employment aspirations a reality.
Started of with Practical Nursing Course which was offered for two years, PSHPI has determined that healthcare/allied medical courses are the lines of specialization being most of its teaching staff and employees are graduates of Bachelor Courses which are under the Allied Health Professions.
With the board meeting and per the board’s resolution in 2010, expanding and offering of other courses was determined duable and feasible and thus, PSHPI’s SEC registration on its purpose was amended with primary purposes of providing Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs and to establish a Competency assessment center to manage the competency assessment of candidates for National certification.
AT PRESENT
The Institution (PSHPI) is offering three (3) qualifications, Caregiving NC II, Healthcare Services NC II and Massage Therapy NC II, and also an accredited Assessment Center for Health Care Services NC II and Massage Therapy NC II. As an institution it is manned primarily by five (5) employees. All of which are trainers and a registrar who run its implementation. PSHPI is looking forward to working on and attaining the main purposes for which it was registered.
